What Nash Ducks actually is

One thing, done all the way

Most duck vendors sell you a printed logo on somebody else's duck. We build the duck. That is the whole company, and it is why complex projects end up here.

Original sculpts

Your mascot, founder, character, product, or artist — hand-sculpted in clay, revised with you, then electroformed into a brass tool that exists for your shape alone.

Any shape, not just ducks

Duck-like collectibles of essentially any silhouette. If it can be sculpted and pulled from a mold, we can make it in mini, regular, or jumbo.

A real 90-day build

Clay, silicone, wax, brass, then the rotocasting floor. One calendar, two hard approval gates, no surprises in week eleven.

How it works
What we do not do

We are specialists, and that means saying no a lot.

Buyers land here after a printed catalog duck was not good enough. So we cut the catalog entirely. Knowing what we refuse is the fastest way to know whether we are your shop.

  • No logo-imprinted ducks. We do not pad-print or stamp a logo onto a stock body. Your artwork lives in the sculpt and the paint, not in a print pass.
  • No stamped or decorated catalog ducks. If it exists on somebody's shelf already, it is not ours.
  • No duck races. No weighted racers, no numbered fundraiser flocks.
  • No direct-to-public sales. B2B wholesale only, no consumer storefront.
  • No fake calendars. A real mold takes 90 days, and we quote 90 days.

Partner terms
The calendar

Ninety days, four stages, one honest date.

  1. 1

    Clay sculpt

2–3 working days. Reference art in, a hand-sculpted clay original out. Shape revisions happen here, before any tooling exists.

  2. 2

    Silicone & mock-ups

3 working days. A silicone mold off the clay, a blank mock-up, then a colored mock-up so you see the piece painted before metal is committed.

  3. 3

    Brass tooling

11 working days. A wax copy goes into the electrolytic tank and comes out as a brass master mold, then a set of production molds, then a PVC sample for your written sign-off.

  4. 4

    Production

About 45 working days. Rotocast, sprayed, hand-painted, safety tested, counted, case-packed, and delivered on the date we promised.

Common questions

Minimums, lead time, and what we refuse

What is the minimum order for a custom molded duck?

Two thousand pieces per shape. Every Nash Ducks duck is sculpted and tooled from scratch for one client, and a dedicated set of electroformed brass molds only makes economic sense across a real run. If you need fewer than 2,000, a from-scratch mold is the wrong tool and we will tell you so.

How long does a custom duck take?

Ninety days from approved artwork to delivered ducks. The shop time breaks down as roughly 16 to 18 working days from clay sample to an approved PVC pre-production sample — clay sculpt, silicone mold, mock-up, colored mock-up, wax sample, then ten days in the electrolytic tank growing the master and production brass molds — plus about 45 working days for the production run. That is around 61 working days of real shop time, which is where the ninety-day calendar comes from. We do not quote a shorter calendar than we can actually hold.

Do you sell logo-imprinted or stamped stock ducks?

No. We do not pad-print, stamp, or decorate off-the-shelf duck bodies, and we do not resell catalog ducks. Nash Ducks only makes fully custom molded ducks. If a printed logo on a standard yellow duck is what you need, a promotional distributor will serve you faster and cheaper than we will.

Do you supply ducks for duck races?

No. We do not sell race ducks, weighted racing bodies, or numbered fundraiser flocks. Our program is custom sculpted collectibles, not commodity race hardware.

Does the shape have to look like a rubber duck?

No. We mold duck-like collectibles in essentially any shape you can sculpt: mascots, characters, animals, vehicles, product replicas, or something nobody has a word for yet. If it can be sculpted and pulled from a mold, it can be a Nash Ducks piece.

Category references

Custom-mold minimums and tooling economics in this category are documented publicly: the leading US custom duck sculpting house holds a 1,000–2,000 piece floor (CelebriDucks), and custom bath-duck tooling programs typically run several hundred to roughly a thousand dollars in one-time mold cost plus a per-piece price in the mid single digits at 1,000–2,500 units (Promo Bears). Nash Ducks builds only from-scratch molds, which is why our minimum and calendar are longer than a printed-logo catalog duck (Garrett Specialties).
